💪 She fought back — and that's why she's alive.
A 15-year-old Baltimore girl accepted a ride from an unlicensed cab driver last Thursday. According to charging documents, Abubakarr Barrie, 23, drove the wrong way, turned violent when she spoke up, and took her to a basement room in his home, where he attacked and stabbed her.
She grabbed a fire extinguisher, hit him with it, and ran — bleeding — to a neighbor's door, where she got help and called police and her mother. Authorities told WBFF she was treated for five stab wounds and a collapsed lung. She survived.
Barrie is charged with attempted murder and assault. A judge denied him bond on Monday.
She was 15, wounded and trapped — and she still got herself out. That's the story.
