🚨 DEVELOPING — A shooting inside a Spirit Halloween store in Fairfield, California, killed a 31-year-old mother-to-be and wounded six other people Friday night — the night before Halloween.
Fairfield Police say the gunfire broke out around 8:30 p.m. inside the store at the Solano Town Center mall, full of last-minute Halloween shoppers. The woman killed was identified as Constance Hages, 31. Family members told police she was pregnant.
Three victims — ages 16, 19 and 32 — were in critical condition Saturday afternoon. A 23-year-old man was stable, and two others were treated and released.
Police say early information points to a targeted incident involving one suspect, and detectives were still working to identify the shooter Saturday. The FBI's Sacramento office sent its evidence response team to assist.
