A Dover man who is prohibited from having a gun is behind bars after police say a search of his home turned up a handgun and about 7.7 pounds of marijuana.
Dover Police say their Street Crimes Unit and Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit, working with Delaware Probation and Parole, arrested the 24-year-old Tuesday afternoon at his residence on Rockford Crossing, where Probation and Parole served an administrative warrant.
He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $17,500 cash bond, charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His name is not being released under Delaware's House Bill 59 limits. All charges are allegations.
