A Dover man is behind bars after Dover Police say he stabbed two men in an argument Saturday — and a task force found him in Smyrna.
Officers responded to 950 Whatcoat Drive about 1:59 p.m. Saturday, finding two 32-year-old men with stab wounds to their upper bodies. Both were hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries. Police say he pulled a concealed instrument, believed to be a knife, stabbed one man twice, then stabbed the second man as he approached.
On Wednesday, Dover Police's DVOC unit, the U.S. Marshals Service First State Fugitive Task Force, and Probation and Parole arrested him in Smyrna without incident. He is held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $151,000 cash bond, charged with two counts of assault first degree, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
His name is withheld under Delaware's House Bill 59 limits. All charges are allegations.
